Dryer vent fires can occur when lint collects inside your dryer vent.  As time goes on the vent will eventually become blocked and cause the temperature to rise. This chain reaction could cause your dryer to overheat, ignite, and start a fire.

Your dryer vent operation update.
A visual inspection of the dryer vent pipe; looking for fire hazards or blockages.
Your plugged exterior vent screens cleaned and/or removed. Those fine mesh screens are non-code compliant!
